The FOSC products are closures used in the outside plant network when mass splice storage is the main requirement. They can be installed in manholes, direct-buried and aerial environments. Applications include splice closures, cross-connect closures and distribution point terminals.
Butt-style closures include various versions of the FOSC 400, and the metal closure FOSC MCO. In-line closures include the FOSC 500, FOSC 600, AIR FOSC, FITS FOSC and the XAGA FOSC.
All of the products feature splice storage on trays which are hinged for easy access and which can accommodate all common splice types. Provision can be made for looping-through and for storage of slack or unused fibres. Environmental sealing is achieved by various methods, including mechanical clamping, established heat-shrink technology or unique cold-applied gel systems.
