Standalone OADM (Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer)

1U high, mounted in a 19" rack and 300mm deep, these units multiplex/demultiplex from 4 to 16 optical add/drop ports enabling WDM devices to be passively coupled into a point to point, ring or mesh network. CWDM or DWDM (50 or 100GHz spaced) versions are available.

Chassis based OADM (Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer) modules

A range of 4 and 8 port OADM modules for use in the A2050 and A2500 chassis. Each module occupies 2 chassis slots. These units multiplex/demultiplex from 4 to 8 optical add/drop ports enabling WDM devices to be passively coupled into a point to point, ring or mesh network.

Each module includes an upgrade port which allows cascading of up to 4 modules providing up to 32 channels. CWDM or DWDM (50 or 100GHz spaced) versions are available.

The AM2520 also includes power monitoring and VOA (Variable Optical Attenuator) functionality on the composite and add ports to enable dynamic load balancing of amplifiers within the network.

When used in conjunction with the AM2502 controller card, this version can be remotely controlled via the EMS/SNMP/Telnet interface. Alarm thresholds can be set on each port and automatic signal leveling on the add ports.
