Multi-Function Chassis - POINT SYSTEMTM A range of chassis which provide flexible networking architectures. A complete range of modules is available which provide muxponder, repeater/regeneration and automatic protection switching functionality. The chassis are protocol independent and incorporate single or dual independent power feeds with a "last gasp" option. Each module has it's own power supply and is hot swappable, with adjacent modules not affected. Designed to be used with the CPSMM management card, remote provisioning is via a Focal Point/SNMP/Telnet interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface. Focal Point, in-service software upgrades are hitless, with two images stored with the older image retained for reversal if required, all images are stored in flash memory. Each module stores its own parameters, with a copy stored in the CPSMM management card. The units are designed to be housed in a 19" rack. The CPSFM fan module is also available.

The chassis are protocol independent and incorporate two independent power feeds. Each module has it's own power supply and is hot swappable, with adjacent modules not affected. Designed to be used with the AM2502 controller card, remote provisioning is via an EMS/SNMP/Telnet interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface. In-service software upgrades are hitless, with two images stored with the older image retained for reversal if required, all images are stored in flash memory. Each module stores its own parameters, with a copy stored in the AM2502 controller. The units are designed to be housed in a 19" rack. The AM2051 fan tray is also available.
